The Australian Federation of Disability Organisations (AFDO) is the national voice of people with disability and family organisations in Australia, comprising a membership base of national and state organisations run by and for people with disability and their families representing over 200,000 Australians with disability.


Become an Associate Member of AFDO

AFDO Associate members are organisations that agree with and support the Mission Statement and Purpose of AFDO, but which are not eligible to become Full members of AFDO. 

Benefits of being an Associate member include:

  • Participation in policy development
  • Representation to government, media and the wider community on issues affecting people with disability
  • Invitations to member consultations and events

Current AFDO Constitution 

The Board of AFDO considers all membership applications and will notify you within 60 days if your application is successful.  All decisions made by the AFDO Board on membership applications are final.
