Australian Federation of Disability Organisations

In 2007 prior to the Federal Election, AFDO launched Campaign Enable. Its focus was to secure support from both major political parties for three major policy initiatives:

• Financial help for people with a disability looking for work or trying to keep a job;
• The development of a National Disability Employment Strategy; and
• The introduction of an Access to Premises Standard.

Since the election of the Rudd Labor Government in November 2007 significant progress has been made in each of the priority areas.
