When AFDO launched its Access to Premises campaign kit recently, we were contacted by several people congratulating us on the kit, but wondering when we would see action on the crucial issue of access to information.
Communication Accessible
We live in a community surrounded by visual information. There are many logos and symbols that are part of our daily environment. There is however a group in the community that have been overlooked. These are people who have communication difficulties.
UN Convention Website
AFDO is part of a coalition of Australia's peak human rights and disability advisory and advocacy groups. This coalition is calling on State and Territory governments to support the Commonwealth as it pursues swift ratification of the new United Nations Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities.
