Graham Douglas-Meyer.
Graham Douglas-Meyer is currently a co-Convenor for the Social Wellbeing in Policy portfolio of NAPWA the National Association of People living with HIV/AIDS Australia. He was appointed NAPWA's representative to AFDO in May 2005.
He is one of the founders of HAPAN, the HIV AIDS Peer Advisory Network, the nationally recognised peak representative body for people living with HIV/AIDS (PLWHA) in Western Australia. He is a board member of HAPAN and convenes the care and support portfolio for HAPAN.
He is also a founding member of, and secretary of, GRAI, the Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, Transgender and Intersex (GLBTI) Retirement Association Incorporated, where he champions the retirement needs of ageing PLWHA and GLBTI.
He has been an advocate for PLWHA since shortly after being diagnosed HIV positive in 2001. He has also been an advocate for human rights and equality before the law for GBLTI people generally, and was on the board of GALE, Gay and Lesbian Equality (WA) Inc, in 2003.
Graham is:
- Co-Convenor of the Social Wellbeing in Policy portfolio of NAPWA.
- Board member of HAPAN and also the Convenor of the Care and support portfolio of HAPAN.
- Secretary for GRAI.
- The Chairperson of AFDO.
