People who are ageing with a disability often require access to both disability and aged care services. However public policy responsibility (state, federal or both), eligibility for services, funding, service design and provision continue to be either appropriate and available for people with a Disability or for older people.

The Ageing & Disability Coalition policy statement highlights the issue and seeks longer term structural and funding reform to ensure the needs of people with a disability who are ageing can be effectively and flexibly met.
