The Disability Standards for Access to Premises are currently being developed.

In February 2004, a draft Standard and associated documents were released. Public information sessions were then held across Australia to discuss the draft (to view the documents click here).

Since then, negotiations on the draft have continued. One issue that is currently being negotiated is lift access to 2 and 3 storey buildings.

The disability sector has been represented in negotiations by Max Murray, Robert Jones and Jill Marinko.
