AFDO eNews – Issue 3
In our third issue of AFDO eNews, we are happy to announce that AFDO will again be attending the Conference of States Parties (COSP) to the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (CRPD) this year. We also recently launched the Disability Australia Hub website which provides the community with a gateway to access high quality, up-to-date, disability specific information informed by people with disability and their families.
AFDO eNews – Issue 2
In our second issue of AFDO eNews, we release the first video from our Information Forum held in October 2017. The video is the Opening Address by the Disability Discrimination Commissioner, Alastair McEwin, who spoke on the day about abuse and neglect of people with disability, employment, and the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS). We also take a look at what we’ve achieved in the policy and advocacy space over the last few months.

In our first issue of AFDO eNews, we’re excited to let you know that we have received funding from the Victorian Government through the NDIS Transition Support Package to develop and deliver workshops for people with disability and their families. The workshops will support people to better understand the pre-planning and planning process and to explain how the NDIS works. They have been designed and will be delivered by people with disability.
